Alexander is a construction and real estate entrepreneur whose expertise and experience derives from a family built business stemming back several generations.
Alexander’s expertise helped the family business develop an award winning Nursing / Care home portfolio as well as building high quality 4-bedroomed detached residential properties. As part of Alexander’s property prowess, he has more recently added to his real estate portfolio with investments made in land and related assets, such investments include the luxury Tyram Lakes Hotel, Spa & Resort development in Hatfield, South Yorkshire.
Alexander’s family property portfolio encapsulates a range of development assets ranging from stables, eco lodges, hotels, forestry and land, apartments and industrial units.
A true visionary, Alexander studied the trends in eco building and recognised an ideal opportunity to develop construction products which would be energy saving, eco-friendly, and could make a real contribution to society whilst maintaining his high standards of profitable and sustainable businesses.
Director of Operations
On having joined the main team at Rothgen, Daniel brings his experience acquired whilst having been part of the Rothgen family since 2017 - this as Director of Operations at Rothgen Capital, the finance and promotional arm to the Rothgen business and its real estate portfolio of projects. His day-to-day focus involved managerial and operational oversight in conjunction with compliance, marketing and PR, transactional matters, along with communication/ information flow and procedural matters in respect to the investor relations/business team. Co-ordination and strategic improvement between all aspects of the wider business and Rothgen Capital also formed a key part of his role. An integral part of Daniel’s role also included the development of external commercial and business relationships.
Professionally, Daniel has gained a breadth of experience running his own companies assisting SMEs in sectors such as renewable energy and real estate along with providing support in the execution of equity, debt financing raise and tax-efficient investment models. His early career commenced in financial markets, specialising in equities broking and alterative private capital financing on projects. Daniel later transitioned on to roles in Sales & Trading desks with a focus on main market equity derivatives sales. Furthermore, Daniel’s inroads into financial markets derived from investment and trading of his own portfolio – his focus having been on UK & US main market equities and ETFs.
Post-university, Daniel attended the College of Law London and completed his vocational training via the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with specialisation in corporate transactions and corporate finance.
Daniel read law at Lancaster University and graduated with a 2.1 LLB (Hons), to which following on from undergraduate level, he went on to postgraduate studies and completed his Masters degree LLM in Corporate & Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore (NUS). His main area of specialism was in International Corporate Finance, Banking and Securities Regulation.
Daniel is currently completing further study in collaboration with Coursera and The Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania) online programme, specialising in Business Strategies for a Better World, encompassing sustainable and social impact practices.
Daniel’s meticulous and diligent approach towards an organisation’s business functions enables him to assess and develop forward-thinking strategies whilst considering a business as the “sum of its parts”. This assists with an understanding for implementation of short, medium and long-term strategies and overall improvement.
Vincent C. Bull
Vincent has previously held Senior/Executive positions within other Rothgen entities - these including as Chairman and Director. His core responsibilities have involved financial risk assessment and also determining the company’s capital structure and forecasting.
Vincent comes from having established a highly successful and reputable FCA regulated Small Payments Institution, Escrow Custodian Services – a company providing protection for both buyers and sellers whilst ensuring high standards in customer service along with smooth and compliant transactions. The company was awarded the highest level of regulation in October 2018 and qualified as an Approved Payment Institution (API).
Vincent has also featured on the Board of Directors at Oriel Collections with day-to-day duties having involved establishing and managing budgets, ensuring operational efficiency and most significantly, regulatory compliance. His role also involved working with the FCA in respect of authorization for Oriel 's companies.
Currently, Vincent does provide external, independent consultancy and non-executive services to the SME market. These services include matters relating to equity finance, advising on restructuring, financial management and sales and marketing functions within industries/sectors such as manufacturing, printing, engineering, financial and logistics.
Other notable professional experience includes Vincent having established a new factoring and invoice discounting business with a highly experienced team after an initial listing on the London Stock Exchange’s Group’s AIM. On having grown the business to 200+ clients within 3 years, Vincent’s key responsibilities stemmed from managing the sales team and delivering client numbers. Key highlights involved securing a £25m credit line with a back-to-back funder and developing a nationwide sales team. This company was subsequently sold to another ABL and is now part of Metro Bank.
With a frequently changing regulatory environment, Vincent’s experience in previously running FCA regulated businesses along with his robust attitude towards compliance functions and financial oversight, ensures that an above-and-beyond approach is consistently adopted.
Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)
Through active involvement in successful family businesses, Alkush is one of the longest serving personnel at Rothgen. Alkush has a clear and solid understanding of business development, business administration and operational, procedural matters within Property/Real Estate Development whilst being fully accustomed to managing and supervising the day-to-day running of various departments such as finance, managing budgets, human resources, hiring and contracting and Marketing.
Being exceptionally proficient in identifying opportunities, one of Alkush’s key functions is to analyse and improve efficiency across all aspects of the business, including co-ordination of the company in conjunction with its portfolio of projects, leadership and management of staff and training, and managing collaborator and affiliate relations.
Via her experience within family businesses, Alkush additionally brings direct, hands-on-experience within the real estate market – this primarily derived from her work in Central London.
In addition, Alkush brings 6 years of experience from Senior Management positions held across the leisure industry and within the health and fitness sector. This includes responsibilities for the day-to-day running of luxury health clubs, and gym/spa establishments with decision-making input on sales and marketing strategies and human resources functions.
On completing her academic studies and legal training, Alkush began her career within a specialist Business Law firm where her primary focus was company law matters, commercial negotiation and regulatory compliance issues.
Alkush graduated from Middlesex University London with BA (Hons) Law and attended BPP Law School.
As a highly organised and creative individual, Alkush’s motivation lies in the challenge of working together with the CEO and Executive team to accomplish efficiency and the smooth running of all areas of the business.
Marketing & Business Development Director
Having originally joined Rothgen as Chief Marketing Officer, Alan brings a wealth of experience in this area. His primary responsibilities involve understanding and strategizing on customer/client acquisition, retention and brand management.
Prior to Rothgen, Alan established a full service marketing company, utilising various marketing platforms and was responsible for managing over GBP £1 million annual PPC budgets and Paid Search utilising social media.
Alan also formed and managed a directly authorised FCA regulated entity, which acted as a master packager, dealing directly with a number of leading finance companies. Additionally, he went on to build a large network of AR (Appointed Representative) firms responsible for new business introductions. Additional achievements include establishing a subsidiary company which subsequently became the UK’s leading provider of hot tub consumer finance, utilising funding options from leading houses such as Hitachi Finance.
Additionally, Alan has enjoyed successes as an entrepreneur via the formulation of a CBT training company based in the Midlands with training centres in Coventry and the North West of England, delivering CBT training through online and in-house courses.
Other previous experience involves Account Management at senior managerial level, with clients including a number of blue-chip, multinational organisations such as Fujitsu, Philips and General Electric (GE). His key milestones included successfully negotiating the supply of gas pipelines and ancillaries amounting to an order book of GBP £1.9m for a new wafer fab in the Netherlands.
Beyond marketing, Alan has a penchant for building new business relationships for the longer-term, injecting a level of energy and understanding for what a client’s needs truly are first and foremost.
External Strategic Advisor
Richard brings a breadth of corporate experience and manufacturing sector led expertise to Rothgen.
Having established his own Consultancy business, undertaking projects for Magnet and Southern, Findus, Swan, and Dewhurst Manufacturing amongst others, Richard subsequently has gone on to serve as Manufacturing Director for a major fitted Bedroom manufacturer in Leeds, making major cost savings in the first year whilst increasing manufacturing output. Promoted to Operations Director, his key responsibilities included handling of litigation work and all customer relations and installations.
He continues to run his own businesses and re-established his consultancy firm which involved operating as regional sales manager and Director within a specialist storage equipment company, and during this period Richard organised extensive installations into major museums such as The British Museum, and The V & A as well as then specialising in motor sport which included complete installations for Benneton F1 team, Arrows Fi, Williams and Mercedes McLaren, Lotus Racing, British Touring Cars teams, Formula Renault, Dragsters and British GP and Superbikes teams.
Richard continued setting up and co-ordinating a number of new businesses – this has included a new high tech electronics company. On having previously joined the company as Managing Director, within two years, Richard led the organisation to becoming direct suppliers to the MOD, Airbus, BAE, Rolls Royce, BMW, Sandvik, Iscar, and the Warship Agency (this amongst a number of Airline companies).
Today, part of Richard’s current role within his consultancy business includes specialising in Research, Marketing functions and working directly with some recognised search engine providers, to which he has written over 200 websites, articles, blogs, newsletters and SEO programmes.
Earlier on in his career, Richard started in the food industry as a Trainee Industrial Engineer dealing with incentives, factory layouts, work study, organisation and methods, project planning and management and qualified as a Work Study Engineer and undertook 3 years at night school to qualify as an Industrial Engineer.
His professional experience at automotive plants and within the furniture industry led to him project managing the implementation of a full electrostatic spraying plant along with the introduction of RAMP (Random Activity Multiple Programmer) – this being one of the first robotic and fully automated systems to be installed into the UK.
Having also been head-hunted into Battery Manufacturing company, Richard was heavily involved at Director level and played a pivotal role in the development of the first of their long-life battery manufacturing factories as well as the running of the standard battery business.
Later serving as European Directory of BPC Inc. (at the time, a major Business Consultancy Firm and a leading player in the introduction of the “hole in the wall” machines which we have all come to use) based on 5th Avenue New York, USA, Richard was involved in both Banking projects and projects with the UK Football Association.
Richard’s ability as a strategic advisor is being able to adopt a truly comprehensive and holistic approach to an entire business, identify its strengths and weaknesses and assist with effecting discernible improvement.
Investor Relations Director
We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the main Rothgen team further to his illustrious and continuously successful work at Rothgen Capital, involving the Business Team and Account Management activities.
Matthew will lead Rothgen's Investor Relations Team as we take positive strides into the future, engaging in growth and progress of our firm's Real Estate development portfolio and assets.
Matthew comes to us with over a decade of experience in corporate funding activities, to which he has been successful in securing fundraising totalling to over £10m in sectors ranging from real estate to energy.
His early career began in the City of London in Sales & Broking with a specialism in FTSE 100, main market equities and quoted securities. Following his successes, Matthew then moved into Futures trading and was positioned on Proprietary Trading Desks focusing on Brent Crude Futures /Oil Derivatives execution.
Matthew's core strengths derive from his fundamental ability to establish relationships on the investor-driven sides of a business and to do so, openly and honestly for the longer-term. His ethos is that such relationships should be a journey, one based on transparency, trust and confidence.
